Whether you've never stepped on a paddle board or you're looking to improve your confidence in a kayak, this beginner-friendly course is designed to help you get comfortable, safe, and efficient on the water. During this hands-on outdoor class, you'll learn: Basic kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) techniques Proper paddle strokes and boat control Launching and landing safely Water safety and situational awareness Life jacket and gear basics How to handle wind, boat traffic, and changing conditions Tips for fishing from kayaks and paddle craft Common beginner mistakes and how to avoid them Our goal is simple: help you feel comfortable and confident so you can enjoy Texas lakes, rivers, and waterways safely. This course is perfect for: First-time paddlers New kayak owners New SUP owners Families and outdoor enthusiasts Anyone wanting to build confidence before exploring on their own Course Length: Approximately 1–2 Hours Come spend a morning on the water, learn new skills, and gain the confidence to start your next adventure.
