Austin Trophy Adventures - Austin's Best Fishing Guide Service
From trophy bass on Lady Bird Lake to hard-fighting blue and flathead catfish on Granger Lake, Central Texas offers some of the most unique fishing opportunities in the state. Explore these legendary waters by kayak, stand-up paddle board, or small watercraft alongside a licensed Texas freshwater fishing guide. We specialize in trophy bass, catfish, crappie, white bass, hybrid striped bass, and other game fish throughout the Austin area, with guided trips available on Lady Bird Lake, Lake Austin, Lake Georgetown, Granger Lake, the San Gabriel River, and select sections of the Colorado River. Whether you're a first-time angler, visiting Austin for the weekend, introducing a child to the outdoors, or pursuing the fish of a lifetime, our goal is simple: put you on fish, share the knowledge we've gained on these waters, and help create a story you'll be telling for years to come.

Trophy Catfish & Backwater Adventures
Few fish can humble an angler like a giant blue catfish or flathead. Our Trophy Catfish Adventures combine modern tactics with time-tested Texas methods including rod-and-reel, jug lines, and traditional limb-line fishing where legal. From daytime trips targeting quality eating fish to overnight adventures in pursuit of true trophy-class giants, these trips offer a glimpse into a style of fishing that has been part of Texas outdoor culture for generations.

Some of our favorite moments happen as the sun slips below the horizon and big flatheads begin to roam, while others come with the first light of day when trophy blue catfish start feeding and the lines come tight. Granger Lake remains one of our favorite fisheries, producing both excellent table fare and heavyweight catfish capable of testing anglers, equipment, and patience.

For anglers looking to chase the fish of a lifetime, our Backwater Trophy Flathead Adventures take things a step further. Using paddle craft or a small skiff, we'll quietly access remote river bends, log jams, standing timber, undercut banks, and hard-to-reach backwaters where giant flathead catfish live. These are specialized, low-pressure trips designed for anglers willing to trade comfort for the opportunity to target some of the biggest and most elusive freshwater predators in Texas.

To ensure a safe, personalized experience, all Granger Lake area catfish trips. Including trophy blue catfish, flathead catfish, backwater, and overnight adventures are limited to a maximum of two anglers. Backwater paddle craft and skiff-based trophy catfish adventures are available for adults ages 18 and older.

Whether you're after a cooler full of fresh fish, a personal best, or the kind of sunrise and sunset that only comes from time spent on the water, this is Texas catfishing at its finest. And the kind of adventure that creates stories worth telling for years to come.
